Our President

The Phoenix Players are immensely proud of our President, Daphne Breakspear, who was awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM) for her outstanding services to drama in Swindon.

Daphne has been a dedicated member of The Phoenix Players for many years, contributing enormously to the group both on stage and behind the scenes. Her tireless work in promoting amateur dramatics in Swindon has been recognised at the highest level with this prestigious honour.

As well as her work with The Phoenix Players, Daphne has been involved in numerous other theatrical and community activities in Swindon over the years. She has served as President of the group and continues to be an inspiration to all our members.

Together with her husband Dennis, Daphne has been a stalwart of the Front of House team, welcoming audiences to the Arts Centre for countless productions. Their dedication and commitment to The Phoenix Players is truly exceptional.
